Manuel Antonio National Park
Hiking the trail at Manuel Antonio National Park did not take very long. It was about a mile and not too strenuous. The reward that awaited us after the hike was swimming in the beautiful, refreshing Pacific Ocean, which was a perfect temperature. While sitting on the beach, a bunch of White-faced Capuchin monkeys came by and were in the trees and running on the ground. They are quite comical and very human-like. An especially hilarious moment was when one of the monkeys ran down from a tree and grabbed a bag of chips from a woman's blanket. Here is a list of some of the wildlife I saw at Manuel Antonio: White-faced Capuchin monkeys, Yellow-headed Caracara, Green Iguanas, Howler Monkeys, Tent-making Bat, Golden Orb Spider, Mangrove Crab, Pelicans, Three-toed sloth. Other members of the group saw Squirrel Monkeys.

Villas Lirio Hotel
We stayed at the Villas Lirio for our Manuel Antonio visit. The room was nice, but it was the smallest room of all the rooms on the trip. It was very clean, however, and nicely decorated, and had A/C and a large ceiling fan. In addition, the swimming pool was right at the bottom of a winding staircase that led up to the door of my room. I found this to be pleasantly convenient, since the weather was warm here, so it was great to be able to walk out of my room down a flight of stairs and go swimming after the days activities. Some people in the group had rooms on the first floor whose doors opened directly next to the pool. There was an additional outdoor pool on the premises as well.
